Happy Teachers' Day!!!

After a hectic week of preparation for tests, I was disappointed to find out that the physics and geography tests were postponed yesterday. Relaxed a little and slept all the way thru after I reached home from my grandmother's. Watched the Athens 2004 Closing Ceremony and was pleased to see such magnificent and grand closing for this year. This is the first time I'm watching it after watching TV for so many years.

Anyway, had Teacher's Day Celebration today. Went to school by cab cos my dad's car went out of battery, what timing!! Nearly late, but discovered Chee Leong arrived at almost 8am and was allowed to go free. The celebration was quite different from previous years and there were bands and breakdancing as usual. Too bad Vanessa didn't come. Or else she would have been smiling from ear to ear. Physics lesson and I think I've finally understood some theories which I previously didn't, thanks to the Most Cheerful Teacher, Mr. Phoa Yew Hui.

Did a bad deed today. Nicole lent me her A Cinderella Story DVD (pirated) and I went to watch it after I reached home. (Sorry!! I didn't mean to support piracy but I promise to buy the disc when it's released as a payback!!) Really sweet story and I almost cried at some parts. Revised some physics cos I'm gonna go out tomorrow to do some shopping, so I gotta work a little bit harder. Till next time, ciao.

Blog replicate...

Just found out, after my absence of blogging for a few days that Kimberly has the same blog layout as me. It's not that I'm mean or what, but if you know someone has the same blog layout as you, how can you use it?!?! Even though I didn't design it myself, but I spent one whole day finding the perfect layout for my blog. And it's even madder to know that someone just simply clicked on the link on your blog. Shit you.

Monday Blues!!

Started with Physics Practical and Chemistry Mock Practical Exam. What a close shave, so much stress in the morning. After recess, it was the Geography lesson. I so happened to have forgotten to bring my Geog materials and had to stand for majority of the lesson. Luckily, didn't need to stand during AM. But, it was quite frustrating as I couldn't solve those relative velocity sums. Somebody save me!! After EM, went home and did some homework. Watched Olympics - Athletics, events including long jump, 100m(where ppl win by a hundredth of a second!!!), volleyball etc. Nice evening to compensate my disastrous morning. Way to go?!?!

Anyway, even though Singapore missed out on her medal once again. I'm sure everyone is proud of Li Jia Wei and her efforts to go this far. But, I'm so happy that that sickening bitch Kim Hyang Mi lost to China's Zhang Yining 0-4, but she got a silver for ZERO, how unfair.

Table tennis wonder....

After beating China's #1 Wang Nan on Friday, Li Jia Wei managed to get into the semi-finals. However, she lost to the North Korean Kim Hyang Mi today. Overall score of 4 - 3. I must say it is an achievement to get this far and one impressive round of Jia Wei beating that N Korean idiot, who couldn't keep yelping, with 11 - 0. Hope she will win a bronze medal and bring Singapore a medal after 44 years since Tan Howe Liang won a silver medal in 1960 in weightlifting.

No matter what the score is, she is still the golden girl of Singapore. Together with boyfriend, Ronald Susilo, as the Golden Couple. I'm behind both of you. Jia you!!

Had a bad day today. Shall not elaborate more. But I managed to clear the anger by pigging out on BK, sushi and other yummy food stuff. Who cares if I grow fat, anyway, nobody want me also. But I'm fine now. Thanks for those people who cares about me and thanks again for their concern.

Let's hope I can blog more often in my spare time. Cya.

Ahh...

Finally, I'm back. Been busy lately. 5 tests this week. Bad, eh? Luckily, there's TV to accompany me. A quicku update on the first few days of this week.

Monday

No tests, but I've finally decided to retake my Mother Tongue paper. Stayed over at my grandmother's and watched the Olympics Swimming finals till 1AM. Ian Thorpe won!! Talk about the Thorpedo... Ronald Susilo beat China's Lin Dan (World #1) at Olympics.

Tuesday

Went to school and heard Hoobastank's The Reason on the school radio. First time since I've been arriving rather late to school in my father's car. But you know, I'm Just Nice. Got a physics test but I don't think I'll do that well, messed up my graph. Assembly - Japanese Student Exchange. They sang a song about Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Ronald Susilo beat that German guy at Olympics.

Wednesday (today lahz)

Had a pretty hectic morning. Studied for Geography Common Test. Collected money, and it was rather embarrassing lahz, it's not nice to collect it. Like asking them for it. Hope I pass it. Anyway, I opted to retake the paper. I have made the right choice. Yes, I have. Charmed starts on Ch 5. Ronald Susilo lost to that Thai guy - Boonsak P, at Olympics.

Dilemma...

After one night of thinking and chatting with my friends for opinions, I have decided NOT to retake the paper.

Came to school with that thought in mind and was planning to tell Mr. Tan about my decision. However, he spent one and a half periods telling us that it is essential to retake the paper. After school, tried to call Mom but no one answered on mobile and office. Something happened that only Yiwen and Huiying knew. Went to meet Mr. Tan and he spoke to us for half an hour. Telling us that we have potential, and it does not require much effort as we've studied it the last time, this time around would probably be like a revision. Nearly wavered my decision as I found his reasoning well backed-up.

Went home with a heavy heart and fell asleep soon after. What should I do?

Undecided...

Today was the day my fate would be sealed. The day finally arrived after 3 months of waiting. The GCE 'O' Level Chinese Results are OUT. Had a pretty drowsy Social Studies lesson. Failed my test again. EM was just as bad, my mind kept drifting to my chinese grades. Many "what ifs" popped into my brain....

Recess came, and I went to buy food as I was really very hungry, unlike some of my friends who can't eat because they were too anxious. Then Nicole came and told me my grade. I was still a little shocked. Chinese lesson - everyone was on tenterhooks. It's out - an A2, with a Distinction in Oral. Quite good, I think. I mean, I have my own standards and I thought an A was quite good already. But ONE mark is so important, it may lead you to heaven or hell. Seems that a couple of people got the same grades as me, such as Wan Yee, Zuohan & Joseph. Wonder what their choices would be...?

Had 'O' Level English Oral later. Got lots of "good luck" and "all the best" from my beloved classmates. Thanks!! Had the most terrifying moment while waiting, everyone was discussing the marks and the mood was so.... weird. When it was my turn, after seeing Stefanie literally skipping down the staircase, I was wondering that it would be such a relief to finish all this once and for all.

Was greeted by an Indian lady and a male Caucasian. Asked questions on trips I've made overseas, leadership stuff, team thingy. Simply threw whatever I knew, and when I left the room, my heart felt so much lighter. Walking home, when I saw Mr. Cho buying some stuff from Econ near my grandma's house. Was contemplating about whether to re-take Mother Tongue paper or not, looks like I'll have to wait till my Mother comes home later. Anyway, I've more or less decided not to re-take. Hope that luck is on my side.

No Mood

Ooh, not in a mood to blog today, so I used my hello software to enter my blog for the very first time. Rather monotonous day, I must say. Was in school so early today, the traffic was also lesser. So anxious about the Chinese O Level results. Still not out yet... when will it be out?!?! Then, I have my English O Level oral tomorrow... what a day, right? Went home and was greeted by The Notebook goodies my sister got by buying 8Days mag. Thanks!! Then, went to watch Singapore Idol. Really harsh critics from the judges, were they being themselves or just trying to be better than Simon Cowell? Who knows? Gotta go study, as if I can study for oral.... Good Night!! Posted by Hello

Holiday!!

Hmm...wasn't around to blog for the past few days as like Singapore, I was taking a holiday. But I'm sure I kept those guys who came entertained with the pictures taken last Friday, courtesy of Jacqueline. Thanks!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!!

Anyway, National Day was a blast. I woke at at around 11 in the morning, ate my breakfast, and headed straight to the gogglebox. I watched the 5th Annual Teens Choice Awards on Ch 5, and was really Ashton Kutcher was a big winner. BTW, the 6th Annual Teens Choice Awards just happened yesterday!! Afterwhich, I watched this show Greasemania, about the 20th anniversary of the the movie. Features stars like Gareth Gates, Darius, S Club 8, Girls Aloud and Westlife, covering those Grease hits. Went back to my room, and was glad to find Busted's new single, Thunderbirds Are Go on Perfect 10!! Wait so long already, I can even sing the whole song. But, I'm still glad that it made it to #1 on the UK Top 20. Watched the National Day Parade 2004, and I became quite emotional after that. First time in my 15 years of watching the NDP, have I felt like that. I seem to feel so much for Singapore and how proud I am of my country..very patriotic, right? Really glad that I was born in Singapore. Another thing, was that PM Goh Chok Tong is leaving!! What a pity right, I've practically grew up with him, managing the reins of Singapore, and making sure it is in good condition before handing it to the younger generation. It's a good thing in a sense that he's able to spend more time with his grandchildren.

Today was even better, though I didn't wake up as late, but the early bird catches the worm. Revised a little of E Math but was basically listening to the radio that was blasting. Had a feast of home cooked food at home... What a blessing to have such food at home, isn't it? I lazed around until now, where I'm now blogging. Hope the rest of the week will be good.

Happy Birthday Singapore...!

Today, celebrated National Day in school. But fast forward a few hours, I woke up late at 0710hrs, left home at 0718hrs, then reached school exactly in time at 0726hrs. Damn lucky sia, all because I was watching Spirited Away last night till 0140hrs. Nice show, at least it didn't waste my panicky state of mind in the morning.

Bought ice-cream from my juniors. Then, was messaging Enoch, Shu Hui etc, whether they're going to the 6Happiness class gathering at Cathay Cineleisure. In the end, only me and Enoch went and reached early. We met at Somerset MRT @ 1130hrs, and he's like 183cm, while I'm like the dwarf at 157cm. What to do, when I'm not tall enough... We waited from 1140hrs till 1255hrs, for the rest to come. Waited till my back almost broke, my legs aching. But in the end, we met up and everyone was taller than me. I'm not surprised. There were Jacqueline, Hui Chun, Siu Hong, Lester, Chong Xun, Enoch and me.

Went to K Box at Orchard Shopping Centre, and sang till 7pm. Was quite fun, talked about lots of stuff, though I wasn't very engaged in their conversation. Like somebody who continually repeated that "everyone has spoken, except for one person" throughout the whole journey. Sang some songs here and there, and before we knew it, it was time to go home.

I guess it's been a long while since we met, thus I changed my mind (answered your question, Jacqueline...), to meet my primary school friends. Reached home at 2000hrs, and had dinner. So tired, I think I'll take a bath and a nap first before doing my holiday homework. Ciao.

Just a day, just an ordinary day....

Wasn't as late as yesterday and had SS to start the day with. By recess, we received our Friday Weekly, of which, I'm trying hard not to tear it up. All 3 movies which they reviewed were NC16!! Then, Wan Yee was asking me whether she should watch The Notebook or The Village, lucky her, her birthday was in June!!

Wanna cry liaoz.... then went for dental checkup.. must go extract my teeth, and possibly make braces to align my teeth. Physics test was a disaster as the questions asked were not really related to the topic, and of course, I made many wild guesses. Anyway, I must thank Qifan for teaching my the properties of the Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO), and of course Zuohan for explaining that seemingly easy TYS question.

Went home to read my book - Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, a movie storybook and it stars Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Bai Ling etc. It'll most probably open in September or end of this year. But, it won't be NC16, as it is mostly about robots and saving the world.

What the Hell again...

What the Hell again...

Been really pissed off since I heard the news on Monday. The Notebook (movie) is NC16!! I've been waiting for the movie for, like, 2 months. Now, I can't watch it. Such a romantic flick, and I've even read the storybook when I heard the movie was coming out. Now, it's out of bounds!!

What I'm not satisfied is the system of rating. Is it by year or by birthdate? I'm November kid and of course, I wouldn't be able to watch such movies until the end of the year. There are people born in December, especially those in the later end, they might as well go watch such kinds of movies when they reach tertiary level of education. Unfair, right? I don't mean that everyone born in December wants to watch NC16 movies, but if the time comes and they are only a few months short, or maybe they've been waiting very long for the movie, they would be angry, crossed, furious, frustrated and disappointed. It's not like those people born in the early part of the year are that matured, who knows, they may all be little kiddies, wanting balloons and candies. These kind of movies come once in a lifetime, and must we wait for six months before we can watch them on video?

What is the world coming to???

Big, bad day

Had a real bad day... didn't know why the school lined up so fast today, I was the 2nd last person in the line. Then, during Geography, we had a discussion about our need and wants. EL and Emath was worse, firstly I didn't finish my summary, then during Emath, I had to stand because I didn't complete my TYS. Recess - listened to Nicole's iPod while revising Chinese and Amath.

Gosh, Mrs. Oon pointed out that I made careless mistakes !!! How?!?! But I know I'm gonna fail, as I couldn't prove, got ridiculous answers etc. Chinese test next, and I was basically feeling sleepy throughout the test. What the hell.

Nothing much happened today, except we had a play Happy Family, by the necessary stage. It stars Timonthy Nga of Private Parts, and tells the importance of a happy family. Quite meaningful, I'd say. Two tests tomorrow, very busy, see you tomorrow.

Life's unfair... not

Hmm... just managed to chat on MSN with old friend from Min Xin Primary, Enoch Chua. How bad can life get when the boy who has been so tall since Primary School, has grown even taller in Secondary School?!?! He's now 183cm.... I wonder what kind of genes he inherited because I'm so envious!! I'm, like, 157cm?? I'll probably reach his shoulder of shorter... *sobs*

Then, he said there may be a primary school meeting on Friday... well, not really sure if I can make it... He said it's to see how much we have changed... Imagine me being surrounded by lamp-posts... it's not a bad remark if any of my primary school friends are reading, it's a COMPLIMENT!!! I'll most probably get it when I visit a kindergarten.

But, luckily, God has other plans for me. My sister came and got me my favourite - Busted!! Their new single 3AM/Thunderbirds!!! Woohoo!!! It's so divine, I'm not gonna lend it to anyone, because I don't want their faces to be scratched....

Shocked!

Woah, today I was taking my own sweet time, leaving my house at 7.13AM!!! Luckily, I wasn't late. However, my day didn't start there. I was still in a rather sleepy mood, but thanks to Mr. Lim Zuohan, who gave me a bloody shock while walking to the front of the Physics lab to get materials for the next experiment. Needless to say, I was rather pissed off. Who wouldn't be when one is suddenly jolted out of their carefree mood. How childish (tsk tsk....)....

Nicole told me a piece of juicy news - she's got a mini iPod!! So cool, it's in blue... nice rhyme, right? Chemistry was a disaster, as we both teegam-teegam and anyhow ticked the answers to the TYS MCQ. As if that wasn't bad enough, Mr. Wee kept picking on Nicole, asked her to answer 4 questions in a row.... and I couldn't help as I do not know the answers too.

Later during E Math, was disappointed to get 24/25... as I missed out on ONE question, and I knew how to do it!!! How irritating!!! I could have gotten full marks!! Went home shortly after visiting the Maths Quiz booth. Tried to find the disc I burned last Saturday, somehow, it disappeared from the face of earth.
