Sinful Entry...
Hmm... didn't blog yesterday because my limbs were all aching after the Napfa test. Did okay, though my standing broad jump was really lousy. I lost about 10cm in length, and got an E which was considered a fail. Gotta try to jump like Li En, she can do 200cm!!
The aches continued to today and each movement seemed like a chore. Mr Liew was kind of over-enthusiastic for his lesson today because there was a sit-in by another teacher. The boys in our class are crazy again, trying to insert the names of everyone into one song... though it's kind of ridiculous, I bet the song is going to be a real hit.
Photography as usual, go there to rest. Though I didn't get into publicity, I got into logistics which some people say it's shit work... I think I can jolly well shake leg there cos (1) Yin Chieh is in the same group as me and (2) Joseph is Assistant Logistics Head!! Haha, let the guy do everything...!! Stayed back to watch the softball and basketball matches, and our class won!! It was a really tough game, though, and I'm so glad I've got such great athletic classmates.
Hmm... going to study for Econs essay test tomorrow later. Meanwhile, take care, guys!
*************** this is the start of the sinful entry *************** Okay, it's so gross to be typing this out (and reading this too), but I thought I have to share it because I don't think majority of the people reading this watch the movie Sin City. I wanted to watch it at first, with its STELLAR cast, storyline and THREE directors for this movie, it's sort of a must-see. Too bad it's R21.
Let's start.
My sister told me about how the scenes were mostly in black and white, except for some red and yellow. People are chopped into over ten pieces when they offend somebody; one man tore out another man's balls and smashed his head into a flat pulp; one man reaches his "peak" from the screams of whipped girls; prostitutes are armed with swords and guns to protect innocent girls from falling prey to lusty figures and as you can read for yourself, the scenes get more explicit...
*************** this is the end of the sinful entry *************** Well well, that's the end of my sharing session. If you thought I must have changed in my character when I'm typing this, don't worry, I'm still the same old innocent girl. *beams*Labels: school

BANG!
I suspect what I encountered today was strongly related to the hard knock I had against my dad's car yesterday afternoon. Was kinda rushing into the car, then step-step-BANG!!! Everyone turned to look at me and my hand was on my freshly-hammered head. Had those sickening headaches for the rest of the day and the rest is history.
Watched snippets of E.T. the movie on 5 and like 3 years ago, the tears came flowing down. I don't know why but it seems to be the only movie that can make me cry like a baby. *sobs*
Today was really a day full of SHIT. Solid SHIT!

Phew...
Wow, it's been quite a while since I blogged. Been caught up with GP and Econs presentation.
Speaking about GP, our presentation did not go through at all. The powerpoint couldn't work, and we had to give a verbal presentation. Although our tutor said she wouldn't penalize us for this lack-of-powerpoint, only our verbal presentation skills, it deeply affected our morale. Hard work gone to waste. Sigh.
Watched the Inter-fac Basketball match yesterday with Van. Our class WON! But of course, our team was very powerful too, and with the loud and vigourous support from Yin Chieh and Yi Tien and me, what else is needed?
Proceeded to do a bit of our Econs project and went down at 1750hrs to join Van in guy-watching. Apparently, they have been doing 40 minutes of warm-up, and that Vernon knows her little quite-open-secret. Finally, the match started and each time that guy scored, Vernon would imitate Van and clap for him. Teasers... But alas, the game ended with the team Van supported losing by 2 points. Stayed to watch the other guys play basketball and then went home. It was the first time I left school after 1900hrs, and it looked different. Of course, guy-watching for Van continued to the bus stop.
PE today was fun. Had our first game of netball and I was playing WD. Very fun and it has definitely changed my first perspective of the game. Had lectures for the rest of the day and especially for the GP lecture, there was a group of guys who were practically shouting "GAY!" for every question the tutor asked. Whatever.
Stayed back to interview Mr Soo for PW and did our Econs till 1830hrs plus. Finally completed it and now, it's up to Yin Chieh for the finishing touches. Hopefully, everything goes well and I can rest for a little while during the weekend before I start revising for my 3 tests next week.Labels: school

Forecast: Busy Week Ahead...
Hmm... a great sense of achievement loomed over me yesterday at 1159hrs... I finished reading my Harry Potter book!! Could have completed it earlier but I went out with my Grandma, of course that took priority, right?
Anyway, the ending was real sad, just like in the previous book where Sirius Black died. Of course, by now, I think most people would have known who died and which idea did it, damn it, that slime ball. Can't wait for the next book, after all, more questions will be answered and more mysteries uncovered. Harry Potter, I'm waiting!!
Today had A Level Listening and as usual, it was broadcast over Symphony FM. It was quite easy compared to the Common Test's and hopefully can do well, cos I don't think my oral helped me much.
Gotta complete loads of stuff this week, so I won't be blogging as much. Have fun!Labels: books

Harry Potter Frenzy
Left home at 8 plus in the morning to get my long-awaited Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince book at Times. It's been so long that I've forgotten when I started to save money for it. Strangely, I only saw 4 people carrying the book when I was on the way to the bookstore, maybe I'm too late cos the book was officially released at 0701hrs.
When I came back, it was a truly frightening experience. Sat at the ground level of the 22 double-deck and besides me, there were 2 other skinny guys sitting at the back there. Then, some group of people came. I actually noticed them when I went to and fro the interchange. They were about the same built - tall, a little fleshy but they look strong too, shaven heads and they occupied the entire backseats. There were sixteen of them there and I was the only female there. Was kind of afraid they might be up to something funny, I mean, why did such a big group gather so early in the morning? Luckily, they alighted after St. Hilda's, if not I would be terrified to go home, I mean, what if they follow me?
Spent the next few hours reading HP before I left to meet my mom to go TPJC for the meet-the-parents session. Was rather reluctant to go at first as I heard majority of my classmates are not attending. Saw some familiar faces here and there but none of my classmates'. Had those Uni talks and I must say they are quite useful, got a wee bit sense of direction now, though now, I can see even more clearly that it all depends on my results, or rather ME.
Went to see Mr Liew, really, I was contemplating whether to or not. But when I saw the other tutors had people waiting to meet their child's tutors, and in front of Mr Liew was an empty row of seats, I caved in and asked my mother to talk to him. Didn't say much, he kept repeating that "She's a good girl, ya, she's a good girl", like my mother doesn't know that...
Saw Mr Larry Lim, my econs tutor. He talked longer than Mr Liew and kept saying I was very quiet, the people I mix with are very quiet and I'm not quiet when he's not around, and that I don't voice out enough. Well, looks like I've got more to improve.
Well, I may not be blogging much these days as I will be rushing to complete my book. Ciao.Labels: books

20th Student Council Investiture
Hmm... really lucky today, had no PE lessons due to the investiture. I must say the investiture was a really splendid event. The way they walked and positioned themselves, the way the whole event was held. To be honest, I thought the scene whereby the previous batch of councillors took off their badges to make way for the next. Very touching, I think there were quite a number of watery eyes.
Had this long break and the lectures for Physics and Econs were damn freezing cold. I had to take out my t-shirt to keep my arms warm, which kind of reminded me of Sec 3 when we were in container classrooms. When we came out, the wind outside was just as chilling!! Brrr...
Went home quite immediately cos I forgot to bring my mobile phone to school today. Frankly, I was quite handicapped without it. Although I didn't mind not using it, I was constantly wondering if anybody messaged me or something. Slept for 4 hours straight and I nearly tore my math paper up because I was sleeping on my books and papers.
Gotta start revision soon as I have told my mom my results last night. Really brave of me, right? She said I have been spending too much time reading novels, on the net, watching movies, allowing my textbooks and TYS to catch dust and not doing my homework. Hmmm... all I have to say is that it will probably take me quite a while to get it started as the Harry Potter book is coming out this Saturday and I will probably, ok, I must read it!!Labels: school

Portraits? hmm...
Hmm... nothing much to say about lessons today. The usual stuff.
When it came to photography, terror striked. There was supposed to be this interview for those to become part of the committee. But due to some delays here and there, it was cancelled. Which was a relief as I don't really like the feeling of being interviewed. Instead, the President said our pictures were horrible and insisted we go Pasir Ris to take pictures. BUT there was the inter-faculty basketball matches!! My class is in it, and I wanna go!!
After much waiting, we finally went to the basketball court to take "live" action! Man, one side was the volleyball match and the other side was the basketball matches. WOW! The girls were good, and the boys too!! Man, I was almost drooling...
One guy (don't wanna reveal his name) had an 8 pack!! They look hard and solid, man. Then as usual, Yin Chieh was looking out for "beautiful legs" in guys. Seriously, these guys should really wear some heels and flaunt their legs, they are just so proportionate.
Also learnt some photography skills from the president for the first time. Practised how to "wait and focus" before taking those shots, it's like framing your photos and then snap based on your instinct when the time is right and taking portrait shots. Funny, how come I've never taken portrait shots before?
Our class played against some other faculty, and I must say our class guys are not bad. Those moves and all that was quite shuai after all. Although we didn't win, but I must say it was good effort cos I don't really like the opposing team (sorry, Vann).
Went home with PL, Izzulwan and Joseph. Seems like a long time since we met up together.
Gotta start revising soon, cos time is running out!! Or else like what Mr Liew says, "We'll miss a lot of you next year."Labels: friends

A Level Oral
Woah, today was really a sleepy day, man. Been dozing on and off throughout the day.
Went to rush my homework in the canteen early in the morning, suddenly I can hear my mobile's vibration... Who can it be? Ah... GP teacher. I think I forgot to mention, I'm now the GP rep and it's kind of crappy to do such work when nobody listens to you. As you people know, I may be loud "within" but I'm not "without", as in, I don't really raise my voice that much, so that makes it kind of hard for me, right?
Argghh... oral today was full of crap. Couldn't pronouce this word and I was making those weird statements during the conversation part. Couldn't translate those thoughts into mandarin, and when I did, they don't sound like mandarin sentences. They are incomplete, filled with "like", "erm", "then" and many other stuff that shouldn't be in it! Gosh! I basically screwed it up. Gotta work harder for the main paper, which is so damn tough because one needs to have a very good hold of the language to be able to ace in it, which obviously I don't.
Gotta buck up now. Need lots of motivation and determination to abstain from the net, gogglebox and my mobile. Focus my efforts and energy on my studies instead. Hope I can do it.

Sea Carnival 2005 - 05S24 did it!!
Really boring day today, because we had a free period first thing in the morning.
Now, fast forward to the sea carnival. Had our prata lunch before running straight after that to catch bus number 29. On the train, the guys were playing those funny games, and one game that I've yet to comprehend.
We were on boat 1, race 2 for JC1s. Man, it's at least 2 months after I held the oar and I felt quite pressurized. What if I dragged the team down? Luckily, we had our same old coxen from the previous heats, Alan, and I think the team and the coxen must cooperate well in order to win, right?
"Da Sao" joined us, and I think I splashed quite a lot of water on her, cos I was kind of struggling during the end of the race. Too tired. Arm no power. A LOT of seawater, or jiao-ban-shui - like my classmates call it, all over me.
Finally chiong till the end, and we were first!! So happy, but.. we're kept in suspense cos 05S17 got the exact same 01:50 minute timing as us. So it was up to the milliseconds to make us, or break us.
Went to pick shells and watched others race. Realized that kayaking isn't an easy sport, considering the numerous examples I saw that suffered the same fate as me and Yin Chieh during the heats.
Prize Presentation... "JC1 Dragonboat... Coming in second... 05S17!" *Claps and cheers and screams from people of 05S24 in front of the prize table. Very cruel, I know that. But that exhilarating feel cannot be controlled!! 05S24 got our gold medal!! My first in 5 years (last I got was in Primary 6!!), and we were so happy!! But Mr Liew was kinda shy, he didn't seem happy to approach us... I wonder why...
Okies, gotta rush now. Got lots of reading logs, comprehension and math tutorial to do. And if anyone of you guys are unhappy with my very dramatic blog today, please ignore me, cos I'm over the hill now!!
Muacks!

4 days' worth
First of all, I apologize for not blogging for the past few days. Got back my Common Test results over the past 4 days, there weren't much happenings to blog and I was practically taking afternoon naps every day, maybe that's why.
Sad to say, I got rather horrible results. Though some beg to differ, but with my kind of grades, I don't think I can get into my desired course in the U, which is kind of sad because that's the reason why I came to a JC in the first place. Since I chose this path, I must try to make the best of it.
This week was really quite a relaxing week. Not much lessons but I realized that I have so much to do - Econs project, PW, GP Presentation and so much more!! Then, there's the sea carnival finals this coming Monday, I'm gonna be so tired for that whole week after that, where got energy?
Had our Learning Journey at the NeWater plant today. Overall, it was rather embarrassing for us to be there, as there was people from Boon Lay Garden Primary School (??) and tourists there, so we're like out of place. The fun was in finding seats during every video interval, and I think I found Shi Zhen's 'Yoohoo!' "friend" in the videos. Haha. Then, we had this impromptu gathering at the Waffle Shop and talked about all sorts of lame and funny things there.
This weekend got no training for dragonboat, so hopefully with this period time to rest, we can release our full potential on Monday.
05S24 CAN DO IT!Labels: school

Initial D... COOL!!
Went to watch Initial D with Wan Yee at Plaza Singapura today. Surprisingly, both of us came in jeans and light pink tops - like sisters... Haha.. We kind of used the 'longcut' when going there, and something most embarrassing happened to me when we used the lift. Those 4 stupid guys in front of us actually tried to close the door, knowing how long I'd have to wait, I went to squeeze in and then I did a "The Hulk/The Thing" in between the doors - I tried to push them apart!! Gosh!! That was so damn embarrassing!!
The movie started and it was like WOW!! Those drifting parts which Jay just rest one hand on the car door and doing single-hand driving was just superb, because other people were like struggling with the controls etc. Jay's dad and his buddy were the most hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing at whatever they said... And during those racing parts, Jay and Edison were so super COOL!! Especially the last race where Jay won!! Yay!!!
Went on to walk many rounds around PS and also chatted with Wan Yee... Had a great time letting things off my chest... When we came back, there was this little girl whose head got kind of stuck in between the doors. Ouch! She was like crying and crying, but earlier on, she was hitting her elder brother, so I guess it's kind of a retribution?? I'm evil, right? Whatever.
Right now, I gotta complete my GP essay!!
Anyway, I feel like watching Initial D again, so you can still join me, Zuohan!! Haha...Labels: movies

Not Fannatic At All
Got my dental appointment today and now, my lower jaw is kind of stinging with pain. Can't really bite well. *sobs*
Went to Tampines Library and I stayed there for three hours. It's been three months since I stepped into the library, and I was having a great time finding all the books I like!! Then, I went off for some video-seeing at LaserFlair. Haha, there was quite a lot of sale of DVDs there but I did not have much money after Thursday trip so I guess that will have to wait till next time... And, I saw PL's GC there too... Bet she must be salivating... Haha...
Met my sister at TM Open Plaza because her idol, Fann Wong, is there. Went there to help her take photographs as a birthday favour (she had hers yesterday), and I'm not a Fannatic!! There were plenty of weird people there though. Like this group of people, who brought such advanced cameras to take pictures of Fann Wong, their cameras would bring photography club to shame. Another person even brought a mini step-stool so that he could be taller than the rest, might as well bring ladder, then Fann Wong will look up to him. Since it was blazing hot, this sister told her younger sister to "stand in her shadow". Crazy.
The star of the event came half an hour late and she was dressed in black in this hot weather. Sang a few songs (I don't think she lip-synced), and went on to sign autographs. Man, security was damn bad, with people cutting queue here and there and persistent Fannatics who did not want to get off the stage.
Left after my sister got her "precious" autograph, and I saw Mei Lin, Wee Lin and Kassyn there. If anyone of you guys are reading this, I'm not a Fannatic!!!
P.S. Now playing: Howie Day - Collide

I Want This Phone!!

Omigosh!! I chanced upon this phone on a website a few days ago and I was mesmerized!! It's so beautiful!! Too bad it will only come out at the end of this year, which is good since I can save some money in case my mom refuses to "sponsor"...
God bless me, may I save enough money to get this phone!!!
